BLOEDRIVIER
RE-RELEASE
Voice
Of
Destruction
(V.O.D)
10th
Anniversary
Re-release
of
“Bloedrivier”
AVAILABLE
NOW!
After
a
decade,
legendary
South
African
band
V.O.D’s
Bloedrivier
album
is
finally
given
a
proper
local
release.
In
a
pioneering
move
(after
signing
to
a
German
label)
the
godfathers
of
South
African
Metal
temporarily
relocated
to
the
United
Kingdom
in
1995
to
expand
their
horizons,
and
fan
base
(which
has
been
creating
quite
a
buzz
via
underground
press,
radio
and
inter-continental
correspondence).
Furthermore
this
move
was
made
to
ensure
the
capturing
of
the
band’s
essence
and
sound
in
an
environment
not
ignorant
of
its
very
particular
requirements.
The
album
release
was
followed
by
a
full
European
tour
in
1996.
Recorded
10
years
ago
at
Academy
Studios
in
Yorkshire,
England,
Bloedrivier
saw
wide
European
distribution
but
very
few
copies
reached
South
African
shores.
Now,
after
much
public
demand,
Bloedrivier
is
re-released
locally
in
its
10th
anniversary
year
by
ENT
Entertainment
(cdent008),
with
a
variety
of
bonus
features.
“It’s
great
to
see
there’s
still
a
demand
for
our
music.
This
release
is
very
exciting
since
hardly
anyone
got
to
hear
the
album
in
S.A.
the
first
time
around.
Many
KOBUS!
fans
have
been
asking
for
this
as
well,
so
I
think
it
just
makes
sense.
A
reunion
tour
is
definitely
on
the
table.”
–
Francois
Breytenbach
Blom
“Our
trip
to
Europe,
the
Bloedrivier
recording
and
Autumn
Wilderness
Tour
was
a
groundbreaking
achievement
which
did
not
receive
the
coverage
and
hype
back
home
as
it
should
have.
It
is
easy
to
praise
something
you
played
a
role
in
creating,
but
even
today
this
album
still
kicks
serious
ass!”
–
Paul
