FLAMEDROP PRODUCTIONS is a Multi-Media Digitainment Organization specializing in the broad area of digital entertainment.
It was established in 2000 and is owned and administered by Paul André Blom.

FLAMEDROP's multi-facetted areas of expertise include a variety of branches (incl. video production, websites, design, events, music etc.) :

FLAMEDROP.COM is designed, written, run and edited by Paul Blom, with selected contributors including Uncle Vinnie, Pablo Priest, Brett Reynolds, Sonja Ruppersberg, DJ Hova and Francois Blom.


FLAMEDROP DESIGN has produced websites including the original Arno Carstens site, as well as that of K.O.B.U.S., Shadow Realm Inc., Terminatryx, Cinemania and Take2 & more.

FLAMEDROP PICTURES produce Music Videos, Short Films, Documentary & Making-Of subjects, while corporate work is not excluded. Feature film aspirations are there, but funding is a whole other story.

2007/2008 FLAMEDROP PICTURES and SHADOW REALM inc. will embark on the South African distribution of Classic / Horror / Thriller / Chiller / Bizarre / Rare / Cult movies on DVD.

> A 1hr documentary on the 1995 BUFFALO MOTORCYCLE RALLY
> A 2 hr documentary / live video on SA's longest running and most influential Hard Rock / Metal Band, VOICE OF DESTRUCTION
> An in-depth documentation on the venture into the Karoo desert with SA supermodel Christina Storm, for the DESERT STORM photo shoot
> Music Videos include that of V.O.D, TERMINATRYX, K.O.B.U.S. (screened on TV shows like Geraas - SABC2, and Kwêla - KykNet) and TAKE2
> Short films include imPERFECTION
> Live video of TERMINATRYX's show on the Dream Collector Tour (2003)
> Digital Video work has also been commissioned by, and executed for OLD MUTUAL, WOOLWORTHS, PURPLE BERRY and NEDBANK FINANCIAL PLANNERS
> A co-produced pilot TV show called FAKE FUR, was shot but not not submitted
> A Television series is being formulated to be pitched
> Annually FLAMEDROP & SHADOW REALM also produce the live performances of original soundtracks to silent horror film classics at the South African HORRORFEST. In due course, these movies, including THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, NOSFERATU and THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI will be released on DVD with its new soundtracks (performed by members from TERMINATRYX, LARK, K.O.B.U.S., & violinist MATTHIJS VAN DIJK)

FLAMEDROP PICTURES include digital video and Super-8 film, and digital editing on either Final Cut Pro (Mac) or Adobe Premier (PC).

FIRESTARTERS promote photographic projects and thus far include the DESERT STORM and BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE shoots - the main aim being to tackle interesting photographic subjects deviating from the norm. FLAMEDROP EVENTS (www.flamedrop.com/events) charges out into the population with such specialised get-togethers as the annual SOUTH AFRICAN HORROR FESTACULAR (aka S.A. HORRORFEST). Here a host of classic and new horror / thriller / chiller movies are screened at the Labia Theatre (Orange Street, Gardens, Cape Town), and includes locally made shorts and live music performances to old silent classics. In 2004 FLAMEDROP also arranged & promoted live acts for a Cape Town venue.


FLAMEDROP AUDIO specializes in the area of creative Digital Audio. Flamedrop has produced independent music projects like F8 and TERMINATRYX.
In addition Flamedrop is working on a South African based compilation CD and a Cinema audio venture.
Recording facilities include Pro Tools (Mac), Acid & Soundforge (PC).




Under the FLAMEDROP umbrella, Paul Blom has also supplied independent writing for the likes of The Argus, Stage Magazine, The Star, Die Burger, Son, JIP, Cape Times, Something Wicked Magazine, SL Magazine, Top Forty Magazine, Sunday Life Magazine and a range of other publications since 1997.
Early 2008 also saw Paul's debut in the legendary FANGORIA Magazine (and their website), covering the massive Neil Marshall film DOOMSDAY which shot in Cape Town, South Africa.
A country-wide distributed Magazine is also currently being developed.

As time evolves, so does FLAMEDROP, to encompass all of the digital, visual and audio delicacies they find worth exploring, creating, exposing or exterminating.
