Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry is a feature length documentary exploring the roots of American tattooing through the life of its most iconoclastic figure, Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins. Considered by many the foremost tattoo artist of all time, Collins is the father of modern day tattooing, whose uncompromising lifestyle and larger than life persona made him an American legend. Through rare interviews, photographs and archival footage, Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry: The Life and Times of Norman Keith Collins, explores the past, present and future of the global tattooing phenomenon. This is the first time the full length version of this fascinating documentary will be screened to a South African audience.	Award-winning tattoo artist Brandon Bond and his colleagues took it upon themselves to rescue & rehab some of the over 70 pitbulls used in the illegal dogfighting ring facilitated by football legend Michael Vick. The loyal, loving Pit Bull breed has been stigmatized as evil due to its use in illegal practices like dogfights - but dogs merely reflect their handlers... A heart-wrenching and courageous documentary (directed by Bond himself) standing up for all underdogs, from abused animals, alternative people like those with tattoos, parolees and others marginalized by society. The movie also examines the life of Brandon Bond and his struggle with balancing fame, fortune and the Rock-N-Roll tattoo lifestyle with a more fulfilling life that focuses on the betterment of both animals and society as a whole. Featuring celebrities like Debbie and Danny Trejo, Michael Berryman, Pixie Acia and Donal Logue, the movie takes you on an incredible journey you will never forget!	Miami Ink is the first reality series focusing on the art of tattooing, as it chronicles the rise of a popular tattoo shop in Miami Florida. It reflects the lives and stories of the artists responsible for the amazing skin art, and of course the interesting motivations of the people being tattooed. Laughter, tears, frustration and joy all make a part of this wild bunch of artists and their unique clientele. Features Ami James, Chris Núñez, Chris Garver, Darren Brass, Yoji Harada, Saru Sammyr, Tim Hendricks, and of course Kat Von D who went on to start her own shop in Hollywood and the spin-off series LA INK.	Writer/Director Peter Greenaway's acclaimed Pillow Book stars Vivian Wu and Ewan McGregor. Nagiko is a Japanese model searching for pleasure and new cultural experiences via a variety of lovers. Centered around body painting, the film blends dark modern drama with idealized Chinese and Japanese cultural themes and settings. McGregor's character is an English translator who becomes Nagiko's favourite lover. The Pillow Book was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.

The killer JACKSON King V guitar worth R5000 (courtesy PAUL BOTHNER MUSIC, Claremont) with a custom WILDFIRE tattoo-style design will be given to one lucky audience member at the REEL INK live music event featuring TERMINATRYX, AXXON and STRIDENT, at ROAR (Sat 28 May). It is the same model pictured with Sonja & Paul from Terminatryx on the cover of last October's LMG Magazine. Audience members will receive a numbered ticket on entering the ROAR venue in Observatory. A ticket will be drawn at random in the upstairs live music section of ROAR. The winner will have to be present to claim their prize and be in possession of a valid ticket. Band merchandise will also be on sale at the show.
